Born into a family that loved to travel, I knew from a very young age that travel was my passion! Graduating from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1983 with my Bachelor of Science degree I did what any other Speech Pathology and Audiology major would have done, I enrolled in a post graduate travel school! As funny as it may sound, it was a life changing decision. For over 30+ years I have worked in different aspects of the travel industry. I began in travel agencies, then hotel sales and marketing, and later switched to relocation services. Full circle brought me back to travel agencies - which has been my primary focus since 2005. Feeling blessed with friends, family and clientele that supported me since 1983 I took the leap and opened TRAVEL À LA CARTE in May 2012. What a gift and journey it has been!
After 34 years in this fabulous industry I still wake up every morning with a zeal for travel! I can’t wait for the phone to ring so I can answer “Good morning, this is Lisa", the fax to beep and the email to chime.
